I have some boxes I got from the thrift store, I'm trying to think what I can do with them?

the park

I did a quick diorama of the park with the benches and tables. just to see how they look.

once I make a decent park for the benches and tables I will do a new post. the park I have now don't have enough room to add these items. I will show that post on july 4th. thanks shirley

brenda's birthday

so yesterday was Brenda's birthday too. she had a surprise party. henrietta, carl, amber, tim, and reese brought gifts and food, and celebrated her birthday with her.

my birthday

so today I turned 55 I really wish my mom was here to see me at 55. she was told I would not live past my 21st birthday because of my heart and here I am today. thank you jesus. so I will be sitting by the pool and drinking strawberry daiquiri's and tomorrow I will post Brenda's birthday party since we share the same day. this is from my son lamont and kittykat. thanks Shirley

the soup nazi

I like jerry Seinfeld so I decided to name my soup store the soup Nazi. this is the first model I made, the food is made from fimo, the pans are made from the plastic that my miniatures came in. the silver bowls are from the medicine packs, the cups are glue tops, I made the stove, fridge, the counter, the table all from balsa wood and mat board. the cups under the counter are made from card stock and wrap in plastic. the cans of vegs are made from the thing that comes in the medicine bottles wrap with printies from the internet. the paper bags are made from paper bags. the outside I made the napkin holders from wood, salt and pepper shakers from pieces of wood. the trash can is a k-cup the water pipes are made from straws painted black. the gas meter and electric meter's are made from wood, I looked at the photos on miniatures.com website and just did my best to match it. the alarm box is a piece of wood painted red. I will show the new model in another post. I showed the homeless lady in an earlier post but she is a part of the building, this is the back of the store.  hope you like thanks Shirley.

the pottery

this is the pottery, I got the ideal from aim magazine. I tried to follow how they made the  oven or whatever it is called. I think I did a good job with it. I made all the tables each one of them have a name I just cant think of what they are called, but you get the picture. all the pottery are painted beads and flower pots. I enjoyed making this room. I made this room out of mat board.
